The Company:

An exciting opportunity for a Senior Import Merchandiser to join a well-established company selling into the high street working with UK and International customers.  This is an exciting opportunity to work on our brands across men’s, ladies and children’s clothing, underwear & accessories and with our high street and online retailers. Working closely with the design team, merchandisers, tech team and factories ensuring all orders are raised timely and production runs efficiently and on time.

We are looking to strengthen the team so need the resources in place as the business is going through a period of growth – exciting times ahead.

The Role:

• Costing product and raising purchase orders on Navision system for key customer accounts.
• Communication with factories worldwide by email and phone.
• Maintaining accurate critical path and chasing in trims and samples from factories to ensure goods ship on schedule.  Ensuring shipment dates are kept up to date.
• Liaise with other in-house teams to meet customer specific requirements.
• Working with QA team to check samples and prioritise workload.
• Liaison with shipping forwarders and logistics team.

Skills Required:

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, internal and external.
• Attention to detail.
• Highly organised with good negotiation skills
• Keen to learn and progress within a friendly team.
• Must have previous experience as a Merchandiser in a similar environment, minimum 5 year needed.
• Experience of liaising with overseas factories and handling large customer accounts
• Fully computer literate with strong ability in Outlook, Excel and Word.
• Previous experience on Microsoft Navision would be helpful but is not a necessity training can be provided
