The Company:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Sales Operations Executive to join our team, based in Manchester. In this role, you will work closely with the merchandising and sales teams to ensure the smooth processing of sales orders and adherence to the critical path. Your key responsibility will be to help ensure that customers receive the right product on time by keeping the workflow efficient and accurate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Order Processing: Work closely with the sales and merchandising teams to ensure sales orders are processed accurately and in a timely manner. Oversee the order lifecycle from initial placement to delivery, ensuring all customer requirements are met.
- Critical Path Management: Monitor and manage the critical path for sales orders, ensuring key milestones are achieved and deadlines are met. Liaise with internal teams to resolve any issues that could delay orders and escalate where necessary.
- Customer Communication: Act as a point of contact for sales-related queries, providing timely updates to internal teams and ensuring that customer expectations are managed and met.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate records of sales orders, product availability, and delivery schedules. Ensure data is up to date in the relevant systems and that internal stakeholders have the information they need to make informed decisions.
- Cross-functional Liaison: Work collaboratively with merchandising, logistics, and sales teams to align inventory, orders, and delivery schedules. Ensure clear communication across departments to support a seamless customer experience.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve the sales order process, streamline operations, and increase efficiency. Work with colleagues to implement improvements and resolve any operational challenges.
Skills Required:
- Experience: Previous experience (1-2 years) in sales operations, merchandising support, or a similar role, ideally within the retail or apparel industry.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to managing tasks.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with Microsoft Navision or order management systems is preferred.
