An exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant for an established fashion supplier based in Birmingham this is a fantastic opportunity for someone wanting to take the next step in their career from Assistant Management Accountant level. The Primary aim is to ensure timely preparation of management accounts and financial reports across all our entities and Seamless interaction between all relevant stakeholders to ensure all financial information is correct.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Monthly cashflow statements
• Fixed Assets
• Sales and Margin reporting including variance analysis
• Overall responsibility and management of purchase, sales and nominal ledger
  • Including primary review of all sales and purchase invoices
  • Assist in credit control as and when required
• Working closely with the finance assistant to ensure cashbooks are up to date
• Foreign currency revaluation
• Stock valuation and reporting
• Invoice finance reconciliations across all our accounts
• Assist in budget and forecast preparation as required
• Monthly royalty and sales report to send to our brand partners JCB, and Pierre Cardin
• Quarterly/half yearly VAT returns
• Customs Warehouse
  • Daily reporting of Goods into Free Circulation
  • Export Documents

Skills

Likely to be a part qualified accountant with at least 5 years working experience in the private sector

• Accounting based degree completed
• Minimum 9 GCSE’s with A-C in English and Maths
• A-levels or equivalent
• Good communication skills and have the ability to communicate finance to non-financial managers
• Sage 200 experience, with some knowledge of BI preferable
• Advanced excel knowledge (complex formulas) and Data Analytics
• Highly numerate, confident and demonstrates passion for business
