The Company:
An exciting opportunity has become available for high calibre Junior Merchandiser (Fashion), you will play a key role in how we trade our products. You will need to ensure, that we have the right product, in the right place, at the right time and in the right quantities to help maximise sales, profit and margin.
You will play a crucial role in supporting our Merchandisers as well as working closely with the buying teams to handle the day-to-day workload and trading operations of the department.
You will be working on a demanding area of our business with a mixture of both import & domestic suppliers, helping to build strong core ranges as well as driving promotional activity, not only across the retail estate but fast-growing ecommerce channels.
Provide worldwide designer brands and quality goods at great value, dedicated and evolved over the last ten years to meet the needs to all of their customers and 800 employees. Invest in training and developing their teams to ensure the highest levels of buying knowledge, accurate merchandising and customer service, from the point of order to delivery.
The Role
- Understand and contribute to the departmental strategy.
- Work with relevant supplier personnel to ensure they understand and meet their requirements.
- Produce by Line WSSI’s for key products.
- Implement directed price changes.
- Identify and manage out of stock/overstock situations in stores and DC.
- Review and maintain model stocks and auto replenishment orders.
- Manage intake and booking procedures in with WSSI.
- Ensure in stock availability of promotional and advertised lines.
- Analyse performance of key, promotional and advertised lines.
- Demonstrate effective communication to Buyer and Merchandiser on all key issues.
- Give and receive information on range to service departments, e.g. advertising and store ops.
About You
- Previous experience within a merchandising team
- Good commercial acumen, good level of numeracy with an advanced level of excel.
- Problem solver and ability to make quick decisions.
- Good working knowledge of the WSSI and business planning strategies
- Ability to thrive in a demanding, fast paced environment.
- Enthusiasm to take responsibility, not afraid to challenge the norm.
- Personal skills to work with people at all levels.
