The Company:
An exciting opportunity for a Garment Technologist to join a leading Manchester Licensed apparel supplier in the UK. Working with all major retailers offering stylish nightwear across a range of toddler licenses, plus producing non licensed & licensed nightwear across Ladies, Men’s and Kids.
The Role:
- Development of garments from design concept to production
- Carry out PP meetings.
- Completion of Risk assessment and if applicable, New Product form
- Understanding of REACH and SVHC in order to ensure all products are compliant.
- Completion of supplier Component form and analysis of information to ensure compliance with REACH and SVHC
- Prepare samples for customers, recommend improvements / amendments, and discuss buyer’s requirements.
- Carry out fit meetings with our customers if required.
- Prepare size specs and graded specs and measurement guides for both customer & factory.
- Discuss manufacturing techniques with the factory to ensure customer standards are maintained and maximum efficiency is achieved.
- Finalising test requirements following fit approval.
- Approval of graded artwork & positioning
- Approval of final production samples for the group and customer, giving approval to ship.
- Assess fabric test reports ensuring individual customer standards and all legal legislation is met.
Administration/other duties:
- Maintain the critical path as required.
- Submit and obtain approval of production samples from licensee.
- Inward post recording and distribution
- Confirmation of Samples received for payment.
- Confirmation of invoices received as required.
- Specific projects as required.
- Store inspections.
Skills Required:
- Qualification in garment technology / product development or relevant Garment Technologist experience
- Understanding of garment construction
- Understanding of fabric quality and performance
- Understanding of industry standards and legal requirements
