The Company:

Our client is a fantastic, dynamic company who design and manufacture accessories and are seeking an experienced and passionate Account Manager, who loves the fast-paced industry, to join the expanding team.

You will be involved in all aspects of managing accounts with the overall responsibility for developing and sourcing products to their customers’ requirements, through to delivery.

The Role:

  • Working closely with Senior Team Members.
  • Manage own portfolio of key high street clients.
  • Product development and sourcing into major high street retailers.
  • Manage all aspects of accounts from design and sales to delivery, including quality and external independent testing.
  • Build key supplier relations.
  • Source, select and negotiate with FE factories and customers to obtain optimum product and margins.
  • Monitor and adjust season budgets to meet growth and profitability targets.
  • Work with the merchandiser to monitor sales, maximise sales through repeats and ensure on time delivery.
  • Work with the design team to identify relevant trends and translate into product appropriate for your customers.
  • Manage an Account Co-ordinator.
  • Attend international tradeshows and sourcing trips.

Skills Required:

  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience within a similar role is essential
  • Great communicator, with the ability to build strong customer relationships
  • Must have experience within fashion and accessories
  • A strong networker with a broad range of contacts in the industry is advantageous.
  • Proven success in bringing in new business and growing margins on existing accounts.
  • Excellent purchasing, brand and range planning and negotiating skills along with the ability to work under pressure.
  • A confident decision maker with the ability to execute your ideas quickly and effectively.
  • Hard worker, flexible and willing to travel.
  • The role would suit someone from a supplier or sales background and experience of supplying large retailers.
