The Company:

• A fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Garment Technologist (customer facing – mens and boyswear) to join a clothing company with a solid reputation in the UK and European retail clothing market working with high street retailers and supermarkets. You will be supporting the Technical Manager working on a large retail customer account to ensure that garments are produced to standard, maintaining fit procedures and systems and building relationships with both Buyers and suppliers. You will ideally have previous experience and be willing to travel/drive to attend customer meetings weekly/every other week.

The Role:

• Ensure that garments are being produced to the required quality standard and that manufacturing is measured within tolerance.
• Discussing new designs with the design department and Merchandisers and help decide on the best way to manufacture them.
• Work out size specifications and plan how new garments will be made up by producing initial and graded size charts.
• Monitoring the production of sample garments and initiate any changes to the designs to fit manufacturing requirements.
• Liaising with customers and clients and work with Far East Factories and high street stores.
• Supervising the Garment Tech Team as well as being able to work as part of a team and able use to own initiative.
• Liaising with colleagues with regards to ideas and changes that can be made to improve the garment.
• Reporting to the Technical Manager.

Skills Required:

• Must be computer literate.
• Background working with leading retailers.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent client relationship skills are essential.
• Career driven and keen to contribute to the success of the business.
• Ability to travel as and when required to meet with Buyers.
• Driving licence essential .
