The Company:

Our client is a well-established ladies fashion supplier in Leicester providing high quality on trend styles to leading High Street, Mail Order and Internet Retailers, including Topshop, Miss Selfridge and Urban Outfitters . This is a fantastic opportunity for a career focused Sample Machinist to join their team.

The Role:

• Stitching sections of ladieswear garments together.
• Checking that finished work matches pattern instructions and inspiration images.
• Working on a variety of industrial machinery to create the samples.
• Sample cutting and final pressing.
• Alterations.
• Following fabric, colour and size instructions.
• Alter machinery to match different fabric properties
• Constructing garments to a high standard using industry techniques.
• Using construction techniques which can be translated into bulk production. 

Skills Required:

• Minimum of 2 -3 years’ experience
• Excellent quality of work along with speed and efficiency.
• Previous experience within a similar role.
• Must have experience gained within a similar role working for a ladieswear supplier.
• Strong machine and hand stitching skills.
• Good practical skills with an eye for detail
• Knowledge of production methods.
