The Company:
A fantastic opportunity for a Purchasing and Inventory Coordinator to join the UKs largest wholesaler of furniture and Home Accessories. The company are looking for an enthusiastic, hardworking and self-motivated person. This is an office based role working Monday to Friday 9am-5pm. The successful candidate will work as part of a small team and meet deadlines in an exciting, fast paced environment whilst maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Duties include:
- Working alongside the existing purchasing and inventory team.
- Fulfilling all aspects of purchasing and importing items into the U.K from worldwide locations.
- Reviewing purchase requirements for stock lines and components.
- Placing purchase orders with the appropriate suppliers, UK and Far East.
- Responsible for day-to-day stock management of specific product ranges.
- Responsible for managing samples & obsolete items (reviewing current stock / stock on order).
- Updating internal systems with new products.
- Ensuring that data for existing products is complete and accurate, including vendor, pricing, lead times, MOQ’s and order multiples.
- Other duties as required.
Skills Required:
- MUST have 2-3 years experience in a similar role.
- Computer literate particularly with Microsoft Excel, Sage 200, Word and Outlook.
- Knowledge of Slimstock or another inventory management system.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills to interact with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Well organised and able to prioritise own workload in a fast-paced environment.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational skills to manage a varied workload.
