The Company:

A fantastic opportunity for a Junior Account Manager to join an established Home Furnishings company who supply Retailers and Online stores. You will manage the day to day running of given categories within the Dunelm Sales team.  You will be required to meet agreed KPIs and deliver exemplary service. This is an office based role – working hours are Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm. The ideal candidate will be a Junior Account Manager with experience leading supplier meetings with Head office Retailers.

The Role:

  • Arranging, attending, and documenting category meetings, both in house and with the customer, identifying actions, facilitating customers’ requests and ensuring we deliver to their requirements
  • Support our Design and Buying teams by providing relevant data and product knowledge, to drive profit positive new development that meets the customer’s strategic brief.
  • Negotiate prices to our costing methodology, to arrive at the agreed margin and present to Senior Management team for sign off.
  • Taking quoted prices, adding associated costs and having the ability to take action to arrive at an agreeable margin.
  • Build a comprehensive knowledge of the given product categories through competitor analysis and benchmarking.
  • Present findings to internal stake holders and the customer seasonally, to demonstrate a full understanding of the categories in terms of scale and opportunity.
  • Drive the Pre-Production process from concept through to delivery to store, ensuring stakeholders have completed all aspects of the critical path on time and raising any concerns to Senior Management prior to final deadlines.
  • Completing all customer related product documentation on time, in detail and to the requirements, gathering information from relevant stake holders where needed.
  • Working as part of the wider Dunelm team across all areas of the business from Design, QC, Merchandising, Accounts and Warehousing to ensure processes are followed and stakeholders are fully updated on the customers present requirements.
  • Other duties as required.

Skills Required:

  • 5 years’ experience of working within Supply Chain.
  • Having worked with High Street / Supermarket retailers.
  • Have an understanding of Far East manufacturing including costs / moq’s / lead-time’s.
  • Must have a solid understanding of and be able to create and drive a critical path.
  • Must be confident with costings
  • Previous experience within the Home textile / ceramic product areas.
  • Have advanced Excel / Word / Office / PowerPoint skills.
  • Excellent communication sand organization skills
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • A Strong Team player.
  • Full clean driving license and car essential.
