The Company:

A fantastic opportunity for a Ladieswear Garment Technologist to join a growing fashion company.  They have a successful ladies clothing range and have seen year on year growth including industry awards for their achievements. The company supply clients including – Miss Selfridge, Missguided, ASOS, SimplyBe, Quiz, BooHoo, Oasis, NastyGal, MissPap, Lipsy etc. The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar role with Ladies fashion.

The Role:

  • Reporting to the Technical Manager.
  • Work closely with design, sales and merchandising teams.
  • Organise and attend all fit meetings with High Street customers.
  • Support with the technical process for Ladieswear clothing.
  • Provide technical guidance regarding size specifications, fabric selection and garment construction.
  • Review of proto/design samples to ensure that they conform to size and design specifications.
  • Prepare workbooks and send comments to production teams within critical path timescales.
  • Manage all aspects of the sealing process critical path.
  • Work closely with Far East factories to ensure they achieve the technical standards required.
  • Ensure that garments are being produced and manufactured within tolerance.
  • Manage the sample process flow including approving samples from a technical point of view.
  • Develop fits for new ranges and create size charts.
  • Resolve quality assurance issues.
  • Manage your own critical path.
  • Other duties as required.

Skills Required:

  • Experience in a similar role with Ladies fashion.
  • Understanding of garment construction and the manufacturing process.
  • Experience with grading and fits.
  • Highly organised.
  • Be an effective communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Have an eye for detail.
  • Ability to travel for fit sessions when required.
  • Team player who enjoys working under own initiative as well as part of a team.
