The Company:
A fantastic opportunity for a Buyers Admin Assistant to work for a Children’s product manufacture who due to expansion are looking to build their team at a very busy time.
Working across a wide range of product types and famous franchises and brands, your role will be to support & assist the Product Development & Buying Team. You must be organised, have a good eye for detail, and be able to communicate clearly across functions internally and externally.
The successful candidate will be organised and possess excellent communication skills, able to liaise with other key departments such as Sales, Creative and QA, in the UK and Europe, and with factory counterparts across China, Pakistan, India, Turkey and more. Relationship building with the PD & Approvals teams within our Licensors is also key.

Main Duties:-
- Sample coordination following CAD approval through to strike off, including sample requests and chasing up Licensors & Factories where needed
- Reviewing samples when they arrive with Buyer/Product Developer, giving clear feedback to factories
- Photographing and submitting samples to licensors, posting out samples where required
- Responsible for sample room and cupboards ensuring all tidy and sample log maintained
- Critical path coordination to ensure dates are being met throughout NPD process from artwork stage through to sample sign off, in time to meet required ship dates
- Working closely with suppliers throughout development process
- Raising artwork requests for product and packaging
- Supporting Buyer/Product Developer in creating product specifications and quotation requests
- Supporting the Buying/PD team in day-to-day admin
- Product set up & maintaining product database systems, range plans and costing sheets, ensuring data is accurate and up to date
- Supporting Buyer/Product Developer in market research, competitor analysis and trend reports
Knowledge and Skills required
- Knowledge of Textiles and/or Homewares industry
- Excellent attention to detail when looking at products
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office packages
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively as well as working collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Experience of working with licensors and the approval process is beneficial
